About the role
We are looking for a Systems & Automation Engineer to join the team at our Ashburton plant. This is a Full-time role of 45 hours per week. You will be responsible for optimizing the industrial process of manufacturing while maintaining automated machinery used in the process. You will also be troubleshooting and conducting maintenance activities to optimize the performance of all automated manufacturing machinery in the entire site. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications.
As a Systems & Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and working with engineers to install, maintain and troubleshoot control systems and various automation processes.
- Producing detailed engineering documentation that is clear and concise prepare functional descriptions.
- Working with stakeholders to define systems requirements.
- Ensuring that changes reflect the direction of the agreed roadmap, company standards and guidelines.
- Implementing changes to meet updated requirements and assist with commissioning.
For this role, you’ll need:
- Engineering tertiary trade qualification.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Electrical training.
- High degree of computer literacy.
- Platform experience (preferred but not essential).
